With its large, easy-to-operate turning-mechanism, this can opener does its job with minimal effort on your part. The nonslip, oversize handles fit the hand comfortably, absorbing the tension of keeping the can opener in place while the stainless-steel teeth bite into the lid with the ease of a great white shark. The built-in bottle opener, sturdy construction, and ease of use make the Good Grips can opener one of the best on the market.
The Good Grips line features durable, flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably, the pressure-absorbing processed-rubber handles reduce stress on the hands while providing an outstanding grip. Made from the same material dishwasher gaskets are constructed of, the handles are slip-proof, wet or dry, and dishwasher-safe. Good Grips products are moderately priced and have won the Tylenol/Arthritis Foundation Design Award. --Laurie Notaro
